Why Should I work with a Registered Dietitian vs. a Nutritionist?

All dietitians are nutritionists, but all nutritionists are not dietitians. Nutritionists are not required to complete the rigorous process necessary to become a dietitian. Dietitians must complete a Master's degree from an accredited dietetics program, complete 1,000 supervised practice, pass the national exam, and complete 75 hours of continuing education credits every 5 years. Registered Dietitian (RD) and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) are protected titles; nutritionist is not. RDs and RDNs are the only board-certified professionals legally permitted to provide medical nutrition therapy, which is the management of health conditions through nutrition.

Paige provides an individualized approach to promote long-lasting, sustainable habits to promote long-term health and wellness. She breaks down nutrition science concepts into material that is easy to understand and digest.

How many sessions are needed?

As dietitians, we empower our clients to help them achieve and reach their health goals. It takes time to see changes and make lasting results!

Paige recommends starting with a minimum of 6 sessions. At the sixth session, you and Paige will plan weekly, bi-monthly, or quarterly check-ins to help you stay on track!
